Responsible Business Since 1980

Building Better, Responsibly

At Micron Windows, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. From recycling old frames to supplying energy-efficient products, we work to minimise our impact at every stage. Many of our uPVC window systems are manufactured from 100% recycled uPVC components, and all old frames removed during replacement window and door installations are recycled via the UK's leading uPVC recycler. Our aluminium windows and bi-fold doors are manufactured by Tradesupply Windows to ISO 14001 environmental management standards.

Sustainability at Micron Windows

Responsible Installation, Better Products, Lower Impact — Since 1980

At Micron Windows, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. From the products we supply to the way we handle old materials, we work to minimise our impact at every stage of every installation. We have been serving homeowners across Newmarket, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire since 1980 — and we believe that being in business for over 45 years carries a responsibility to operate thoughtfully and sustainably.

Recycled uPVC — Circular Manufacturing

Many of our uPVC window systems are manufactured from 100% recycled uPVC components — giving post-consumer plastic material a second life and reducing demand for virgin plastics. Every old window and door frame we remove during a replacement installation is sent to the UK’s leading independent uPVC recycler rather than to landfill, closing the loop on the material lifecycle.

Energy-Efficient Products

All our windows and doors meet or exceed current UK building regulations (Approved Document L) — helping the homeowners we serve across Newmarket and Suffolk reduce their energy consumption and heating bills. Our aluminium windows feature thermally broken profiles achieving excellent U-values, and our AluK bi-fold doors achieve a market-best 1.4 W/m²K U-value.

ISO 14001 Environmental Manufacturing

Our aluminium windows, bi-fold doors and Spitfire aluminium entrance doors are manufactured to ISO 14001 environmental management standards — ensuring that the products we install are produced responsibly, with a systematic approach to reducing environmental impact across the supply chain.

Our Equinox Warm Roofs

Our Equinox warm roof systems transform existing conservatories into year-round living spaces — dramatically improving the thermal performance of older structures and reducing the energy needed to heat them. Extending the useful life of an existing conservatory rather than demolishing and rebuilding is itself an environmentally responsible choice.

Working Towards Better

We recognise that sustainability is a journey, not a destination. We are committed to continuing to improve our practices — from product specification to installation methods and material handling. If you have any questions about our approach, please get in touch. We are always happy to discuss our products and practices in detail.
